The Journal of
the Chevening Society of Bangladeshis an initiative of the Chevening Society of Bangladesh (CSB) which is an association of the alumni Chevening scholars – those who had received the prestigious Chevening Scholarship awarded by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The journal aims to include a varied range of scholarly articles from all fields of academic studies

Note for Authors:
The journal will only accept submission from current or former recipient of the Chevening Scholarship. Authors are required to submit manuscripts only by email attachment. If the paper has been already published in another journal, authors are requested to acknowledge the same after biographical details.

The following
guidelines should be kept in mind when submitting manuscripts:
* Contributions should be word processed
* The articles should not normally exceed 8,000 words in length (inclusive of notes and references) and a precise word count should be included with each article submitted. Shorter contributions will also be considered for publication.
* Biographical details should be starred (*) and precede the footnotes. They should include the author’s current employment, academic qualifications, the year of receiving the Chevening Scholarship, postal and email addresses and any other pertinent details in light of the submission
* Authors are requested to use footnotes and not endnotes.
* ‘Ibid’ can be used for repeating a citation in the immediately previous note. ‘Supra’ can be used when referring to books, journals and other materials already cited in earlier footnotes
* Authors should pay particular attention to the accuracy and presentation of references
* Books:
Author’s surname, Name or Initials (Date) Title of Book. Volume number (if relevant); Edition (if relevant). Place of publication: Publisher.

Holmes, R (2009) A guide to battles,London, Oxford University Press.
Chapter in a book
Lev, Daniel (1999) ‘Between State
and Society: Professional Lawyers and Reform
in Indonesia’, in Timothy Lindsey (ed), Indonesia: Law

§ Articles and papers:
Author’s surname, Name or Initials (Year of publication) ‘Title of article’,
Volume number Journal Number of first page of article.
